Thermodynamics is considered as black magic by laymen. For sure, thermodynamics often needs sophisticated mathematical methods, and computer models for combustion processes in engines are a difficult task. As thermodynamis also uses statistical methods, PMM inventors think that they can find a loophole somewhere in the statistics and exploit it for an overunity machine.
